Case study: PR campaign
What we did: Elaborate Communications put together a strategic plan and comprehensive campaign to maximise publicity for the survey, guiding the client on when and where to announce the survey – this was identified as during the popular Crew Connect Global conference in Manila, a key hub for seafarer supply. Activities included design of the published survey; production of a press release; social media posts and supporting materials, media liaison and story placement, engaging with media representatives to facilitate interviews for the company’s CEO Henrik Jensen; and monitoring coverage and feedback.
What we achieved: The survey findings have been extensively publicised in a range of maritime media outlets across the globe, including Europe, Asia, and USA. The CEO spoke with several journalists and was able to give further detail and context, thus boosting his reputation as an expert in international crew recruitment and retention. The survey findings have been well received and are fast becoming a source of reference in further industry articles
